“My expectation about having hip surgery was that I was going to be in a lot of pain for a long time and that I wasn’t going to be mobile, for maybe weeks. I was also worried about cross contamination. You know, you hear the horror stories about people leaving a hospital – they were perfectly healthy except for whatever the procedure was when they got there, and they left with infections or something else unexpected. I knew the minute I walked in this door that that wasn’t going to be the case because what Muve does is Joint Replacements.

Because I didn’t know what to expect, I didn’t know what questions to ask, and that’s where Katie, my Muve Navigator, was so very valuable. She was able to anticipate questions that I might have that I didn’t know to ask, so I never felt alone or scared.

Brad, the Physical Therapist, was terrific, and everybody made me feel comfortable. They were able to talk me through the process before I began to feel pain, or before it was time for me to get up on my feet, or before it was time for me to do something new. I had very little pain, very little swelling, and very little numbness, so all in all it’s been an amazing experience.*

I have decided to have my 2nd hip done – the left one – in about 4 more weeks but I’m really excited to come back here and have the 2nd surgery! All in all, whoever dreamed this up had a phenomenal idea not only about making people feel comfortable but making them feel like they were part of a family.”
