Our Physician Partners

Dr. David Dodgin and Dr. E. Matthew Heinrich of Orthopaedic Specialists of Austin lead the Muve Lakeway care team. They have collectively performed thousands of Joint Replacements and are pioneers of the anterior approach to Total Hip Replacement. They have played a major role in perfecting and teaching the approach since its introduction into the surgeon community.

Dr. David Dodgin

Dr. David Dodgin specializes in hip and knee replacement and joint preservation surgery of the knee. He has helped develop national teaching programs for anterior hip replacement since 2004. Dr. Dodgin is board-certified and completed his orthopedic training at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his Reconstructive Fellowship in Roanoke, Virginia and received his Medical Degree from University of California, San Diego (UCSD).

Dr. E. Matthew Heinrich

Dr. Heinrich specialized in joint replacement surgery, from new, minimally invasive techniques to complex revision techniques. Dr. Heinrich completed formal training at Baylor College of Medicine, concentrating on adult reconstructive surgery after his residency. He holds degrees from Texas Tech School of Medicine and University of Houston. Board-certified, Dr. Heinrich is a consultant and clinical assistant professor for the University of Texas Medical Branch. His fellow orthopedic surgeons in Austin commend him for service in the Texas Army National Guard and the Naval Air Reserves.
